My stay at the Mecure Bourg en Bresse was a pleasant surprise. Traveling to the alps there had been a large snow fall at my destination that made it prudent for us to stop a night to wait for roads to clear. The hotel was conveniently on route close to the auto route with a restaurant on site and close to the city for exploring. There was a friendly welcome from reception which was appreciated after a long drive. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone passing through.

Hotel located a 10-minute drive from the city center, has ample parking, rooms are all-too-small and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Perfect hotel for a stop during a trip, close to the highway and with a good in-house restaurant.

We have been to this hotel before, it’s a great stop over on the way to the Alps. Just a short journey from the motorway. The room was clean with a nice large shower nice fluffy towels and crisp bedding.

Terrible experience in restaurant

Hotel is in a good location with friendly staff and good rooms. However our experience in the restaurant was terrible. The kitchen couldn't cope with the amount of guests. We waited an hour for a burger which was cold and congealed when served to us (we believe that it could have been the same burgers sent back to the kitchen by other guests) and the chicken dish was inedible. Menu described breaded chicken breasts, in realty it was fried off cuts (mostly bones). Although some of the meal was given free by the friendly staff this was't a good experience especially with young children.

Indeed, we added this dish to our menu recently and we realized our error in the English translation, we quickly remedied this and we apologize a second time for this misunderstanding.
