Il Carpaccio, the destination for Italian gastronomy in Paris

  • Gastronomic cuisine

  • Italian specialities

  • Exceptional setting

  • Local produce

In a décor reminiscent of Sicily, discover Italian gastronomy prepared and served in a convivial setting. Inspired by the greatest transalpine chefs, our culinary team revisits the essential classics and sends your taste buds on a journey to the Bel Paese.

A little jaunt to Lombardy reveals the essence of Il Carpaccio. Brusaporto is home to the three-starred Da Vittorio, one of the most renowned Italian restaurants in the world. Its exceptional chefs collaborated with our own Oliver Piras and Alessandra Del Favero, who met while working at Da Vittorio, to create the exclusive menu found at our table.

Whether you wish to try the Milanese-style orecchia di elefante (an enormous veal escalope the size of an elephant's ear!) or our pasta dish paccheri alla Vittorio, you will discover the great Italian classics at Il Carpaccio. The distinct flavours of this exceptional gastronomy are enhanced by superior ingredients sourced from the transalpine region. Pastry Chef Yazid Ichemrahen has created a dessert menu for that gives pride of place to transalpine products, while defying expectations.

In the elegant Sicilian Baroque setting replicated in the heart of Paris, you will adore the chic conviviality of the dining room as well as our team's tableside cooking. In season, spend some time in the garden terrace designed by the inimitable Philippe Starck. Here you can enjoy lunch or dinner while sitting around a soothing outdoor pool.

Il Carpaccio, Italy in all its glory

Renaissance art and a renowned recipe

The restaurant is named after Vittore Carpaccio, the Italian Renaissance painter whose colourful tableaux inspired the creation of the famous dish made of thinly sliced raw beef. Thus, Il Carpaccio pays homage to the artist and the speciality!

(Translated by Google) Despite the delay we had, we were very well received. Nice place. Small room with very geometric decoration and pastel colors. Beautiful view of the hotel's outdoor patio. We really liked the truffle carpaccio which was exceptional. The other dishes on the tasting menu were also very good. However, the downside to the two desserts I had, the first, with hibiscus, is a question of taste. I hate hibiscus so obviously I didn't like it. They were kind enough to bring me another dessert instead (small ball of pistachio ice cream) even though I told them that it wasn't worth it but it was very nice and the ice cream was good. The second dessert was the tiramisu, what a disappointment, does not resemble the classic tiramisu, the coffee is too strong (unanimous opinion of the table while some were coffee lovers), too much cream for little biscuit... In short. Maybe we shouldn't call it tiramisu? The little desserts (cannello?) cream pastries were delicious. The pastry chef brought us a specially lactose-free one which they managed to make on the spot and we really appreciated it. We were happy to see her because we had seen her on TV a few weeks earlier, we pointed it out to her but either she didn't appreciate it or she was very embarrassed because she stopped smiling and told us "well, good tasting" and left. Damage. But she is very talented.
The wine pairing wines were very good, especially the 20 year old port.

I don't know why this restaurant is said to be the best Italian in the world because of course the chef is Italian, the waiters too, the music too, the influences in the dishes are undeniably Italian, on the other hand... We don't we don't really find the typical Italian dishes. It's a very good restaurant, but not the best Italian in the world (at least not the classic Italian cuisine that you can find in Italy). Best gourmet restaurant with Italian influences: Yes :)

Thank you to the servers for their humor, relaxed side and kindness. In my opinion, the service still deserves a little improvement for a starred restaurant.

Very bad service! One of the waiters spilled red wine on my white jacket and didn't even apologize. They brought us wrong dish and again acted like it's not a big deal. And when they brought our check the wrong item was added! Double check your bill before paying! Plus the portions are tiny, their sauces are too heavy. I've had better Italian food in Paris. Any other hotel nearby, like Bulgari or Four Seasons.
