The staff and attention to detail at the Sebel are that of a 5 star hotel. I have stayed in many hotels in Melbourne but prefer to stay here because of how the staff fuss over me. I feel like I am staying with family whenever I I stay here. Nothing is too much trouble.

Unprofessional Conduct and Harassment by Sebel Mooney Ponds GM

During my recent stay at Sebel Mooney Ponds, I encountered deeply troubling behaviour from General Manager Belinda Lee. Upon arrival, I was asked for a holding deposit via EFTPOS, to which I complied without being informed of the amount or receiving a receipt. Subsequently, $300 was debited from my account without my knowledge. When I raised this issue with the receptionist, I was met with indifference. Later, I received a call from General Manager Belinda Lee, during which she exhibited a disrespectful and confrontational demeanour. Despite my attempts to address the situation calmly, she persisted in making baseless accusations against me, including unfounded allegations of threats towards her staff, which I vehemently deny. The following morning, I felt coerced into apologizing under duress in order to retain my accommodation. Additionally, she contacted my employer, making false accusations against me, which has led to further complications and tarnished both my reputation and that of my employer. Adding to the distress, General Manager Belinda Lee's actions led to my eviction from the premises, based on her misinterpretation of my intended negative review of the hotel's policy. Furthermore, I recently discovered that another individual, "jaytash2," left a similar review about their negative experience. Despite having no connection to this individual or their review, General Manager Belinda Lee responded using my full name, which I find deeply concerning and inappropriate. Moreover, to stay at the premises, General Manager Belinda Lee resorted to blackmailing tactics, explicitly stating that I could not leave a negative review or report her actions to her head office or my legal team, under threat of not being allowed to recheck in after my eviction. In light of these troubling events, I have reported General Manager Belinda Lee to her head office and engaged my legal team to address her unprofessional conduct and harassment. I strongly believe that her behaviour during my stay and subsequent harassment days after demonstrates her lack of suitability for her role. Potential guests should be aware of the unprofessional conduct and harassment that I experienced at Sebel Mooney Ponds under General Manager Belinda Lee's management. I advise caution when dealing with her and suggest exploring alternative accommodation options.

Dear Dillion Watson, There are 2 sides to every story. We have zero tolerance policy to passive aggressive threats and swearing towards my staff, and based on this you were requested to leave. In regards to the $300 our CCTV footage clearly shows our team explaining the pre-auth to you whilst placing the credit card machine in front of you, you look directly at the machine and place your PIN into the pin pad. It's only after your wife rings you to query the charge on your card, you then question the team and make threats to them. Against my better judgment, and as a favor to your employer, we allowed you to stay after making an agreement that we would all act professionally, move forward, put the incident behind us and that there would be no further incidents. You have shown that you aren't a person of integrity and that the favor we provided was not appreciated. We wish you all the best. Belinda Lee General Manager
